COMPANYDifass was founded in February 1992, when deep changes occurred in Western pharmaceutical markets, and has always been leaded by the same management. Drugs based on chemically synthesised active ingredients hit their highest peaks in the 80’s and early 90’s: in the meanwhile the medical and scientifical community had gradually become aware on possible serious side effects risks caused by high dosages of such chemical active ingredients.
At the same time, all public healthcare systems of Western countries - more and more burdened by expenses for new drugs with concomitant ageing of population – started to curb public expenditure for drugs.
DIFASS strategic vision was to create innovative nutraceuticals with a high scientific and therapeutic profile. Initially most products were based on vegetal extracts: now we have expanded our range, and we also develop and sell medical devices and dermaceuticals with diverse active ingredients
We propose our products exclusively to Medical Doctors, selling them only in pharmacies, hospitals and medical centers.
All formulations and trademarks are invented and owned by DIFASS.
DIFASS has so far filed for 12 Patents, with 2 additional ones being filed in 2008.

R & D
The heart of DIFASS is represented by its R&D structure, with 10 people all endowed with university degrees. This structure closely coordinates with our Sales Direction and directly reports to our CEO. Our R&D originates all our products, also through the collaboration of highly qualified external consultans, which come from European Universities, Medical and Industrial environments.

ad hoc” products for licensees and distributors, under specific requirements. Our products are realized through a most accurate choice of raw materials, and a rigorous analytical control of the entire manufacturing process.
